5 ingredient Protein balls

A nutritious treat to satisfy any sweet craving, ideal for a morning pick me up, a pre-workout snack or as an energy bite to refuel during a prolonged cardio session (i.e. a long ride).


1 cup almond flour

1 scoop flavoured protein powder (I used the macademia and vanilla Purition)

100 g soft pitted dates

2 teaspoons cacao powder unsweetened

desiccated coconut for coating


1. Simply blend together the dates, almond flour, protein powder and cacao powder till you get a thick and sticky mix

2. Shape mixture into small balls using your hands and put in the fridge to firm for about 1 hour

3. Roll each ball in the desiccated coconut, serve and enjoy!

Nutrition facts (per 1 ball): 124 calories, 10g carbohydrates, 5g protein, 8g fat
